My practice Eat&Sea originated from a strong desire to help people stay healthy in times of stress focusing on nutrition and coaching. However, stress isn't the only factor undermining your health, other factors may also be of influence.

I started to educate myself on medical knowledge to be able to notice red flags in people's health, so that I would be able to advice on proper nutrition meeting individual needs. What started as a personal interest led to the certification of Basic Medical knowledge, Basic Social Psycology and Orthomolecular Nutrition and Therapy.

A session first starts with a thourough analysis of your current health status. Sometimes, we can decide to reach out to other health professionals (e.g. GP) to get bloodwork done and to get a clear diagnose to be able to create an appropriate nutritional plan. After having obtained a clear overview my therapy focuses on integrating healthy nutritional habits in your daily life taking it step by step. 

If changing your food habits proves to be too challenging, I also offer walking sessions in which we can address limiting thoughts and nourish your emotions.

It is my mission to support people in their search for healthier and balanced nutrition in order to stay healthy and prevent disease.

I am convinced that an adjustment of nutrition and specific (temporary) supplementation can allow for improved physical and mental wellbeing. 

However, though lots can be achieved through adaptation of nutrition, regular medicine should be consulted when necessary (in case of red flags).  

 

Considering the fact that I am actually a legal professional, you might reckon that being an orthomolecular therapist is a bit unconventional. However, it is because of my work and experience as a legal professional that I became aware of all benefits of a balanced nutrition and its effect on for example stress and burn out symptoms (one of my practice's pillars).

After obtaining my LL.M. International Business Law in Amsterdam, I started to work as a legal professional for different companies and government agencies. Looking back at several assignments, I noticed that a lot of people  suffer from stress and/or burn out. Unfortunately and especially in times of work related challenges, the healthy food option almost never is chosen. When people do not take care of their nutrition a vicious circle allows for a compromised health status which may lead to disease and ailments. 

Having dealt with stress myself I closely looked into my own nutritional habits. I discovered that by adjusting my own food habits and taking in specific supplements my immune system can properly function and I can better cope with stress on all levels.
